Review – Ella Yacht club

19 miles away from Marmaris, Ella Yacht Club sits with its own marina, a hotel and a restaurant. You can find the way on google maps however, like for our Gaias Marmaris review, the address for Ella Yacht Club shown on Instagram will not lead you to the correct place. We were staying in Hisarönü at the time and this was very close to us at only 6.6 miles away.

We arrived at around 11 and the car park was full, but we went slightly up the hill and found a spot quite easily. Inside all staff members were wearing masks and we were seated promptly, right by the crystal clear sea with a gorgeous view of the boats. At the time as it was around lunch, I hadn’t quite fancied a breakfast but when we asked for a menu they informed us that due to coronavirus they did not have any to hand out. There was 3 of us and a baby and to make things easy we opted for the Turkish breakfast, asking for this to be for 2 people.

Shortly after we ordered our breakfast began to be served and the table was soon full. We had olives, jams, cheeses, tomato, cucumber, Nutella, peanut butter, tahini, walnuts, dried apricots, warm homemade bread, honey, butter, fried eggs and tea. Despite this being a 2 person portion we ate and ate for an hour and it still looked barely touched, with the exception of the bread that we asked to be refilled. Everything we ate at Ella Yacht Club tasted fresh and delicious and it all cost us 120TL (around £14).

We inquired about the sun beds and were informed that we would have to pay 100TL each (currently around £12) in the establishment to use them. As we had things to do that day we decided against it as our breakfast and drinks did not come to that amount and we new we wouldn’t be ordering anything else soon. We did however still go for a dip in the sea before leaving which was very refreshing and we dried off pretty quickly in the hot sun.
