Review of Kumka Beach

6 minutes drive away from Marmaris Marina this beach bar and restaurant sits in a bay with a number of other similar establishments. There is a small car park outside the front, we have visited here twice and have not had an issue finding a space.

We entered through the building and into the back where we were greeted warmly by the manager. The restaurant has a swimming pool at the entrance to the outdoor area, a bar in the middle and seating including hammocks round the outside. As you go further towards the sea there are also sun-beds with umbrellas. The sea here is beautifully clear and great for swimming as there are no fish around.

We ordered some drinks off a large menu; frozen mojitos, beer and soft drinks. The service was quick enough and the cocktails were perfect for the 40 degree heat, they also weren’t a bad price at around £5 each. We later ordered Caesar salad, margherita  pizza and chips. The salad was one of the freshest I’ve had here, it didn’t have your usual ingredients but it did taste amazing. It had lettuce, large pieces of grilled chicken, baby corn, beetroot, tomato and dressing. The pizza came with large slices of tomato on top and was around 10 inch. It tasted perfectly fine. We also had a huge portion of steak cut chips that were too large to finish and the typical sauces were available in bottles on the table: tomato sauce, mayo, bbq and mustard.

Overall we had a really nice time here. It wasn’t too busy, the background music was nice and relaxing and the seating was comfortable. The prices weren’t as expensive as the other bars in the bay and we felt we got good value for money with everything we ate and drank. The sunset here was also absolutely gorgeous, we would definitely visit again.
